On 2nd June 2025, Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) and Nepal Telemedicine Society (TMSoN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the digital transformation of child healthcare in Nepal. The MoU was signed by Dr. Bhagawan Koirala, Chairperson of KIOCH and Dr. Udaya Koirala, Chairperson of TMSoN in the presence of representatives from both the organizations. This partnership aims in establishing a National Telemedicine Center for Child Health at KIOCH. This joint efforts will spearhead novel and innovative interventions in Child Health Care by leveraging appropriate digital technologies to enhance health care service deliveries, advocate for required policies, establish appropriate health informatics ecosystems, and ensure human skill development.
